Tokyo Live

Tokyo Live is a winter jumps prospect we’re really excited about.

He’s compact (16hh), but possesses remarkable power and scope over obstacles. Tokyo Live used to be trained by the French Champion Trainer, Francois Nicolle: a man renowned for training strong jumpers.

He also has good race experience for a 6-year-old, having run in three hotly contested races in France. In the first, he came a close second (out of ten), beating a previous winner into fourth place.

Tokyo Live was then made favourite for his second run but made a small error and fell. He finished fourth out of thirteen in his third and most recent race, beating two previous winners in the process.

These performances were enough to convince Venetia Williams to buy him. Venetia describes Tokyo Live as a “lovely horse” with “a great attitude” who has “a lot going for him”.

Noting his promise on soft/heavy ground, Venetia will aim to run him in winter jumps races later this season.
