There isn’t one! We hope that by signing up to the Old Gold Racing Club and seeing what we’re all about, you might eventually decide to buy a share in one of our racehorses, but that's completely up to you!
Henry Box Brown is a handsome 8-year-old, sired by Getaway and in training with Evan Williams.
He's also a little warrior. He has won three times after coming back from a potentially career-ending cannon bone fracture.
He earned his first visit to the winner's enclosure at Uttoxeter in 2023, winning by a neck after a hard-fought battle to the finishing post.

Henry made his debut over fences at the backend of that season, which gave the team a nice platform to build on going forward.
Henry Box Brown didn’t get his next season off to the smoothest of starts when falling on his seasonal return. However, what Evan saw of Henry gave him the confidence that he would win again. Following some good runs through the summer, the decision was made to step him up in trip.
This resulted in an incredible performance at Worcester in 2024. Henry stormed through the field late on to clinch his first win as a chaser in exhilarating fashion.

Henry then showed real spirit to win again at Leicester in December, despite a heavy fall in his previous race at Ffos Las.
Jersey Rocs is a big, strong four-year-old gelding, with a very fast pedigree that is packed with quick, Black Type horses.
He caught the eye of McKeever Bloodstock and Charlie Hills at the Goffs Orby Sale in 2022, who then offered him to Old Gold Racing.
He is sired by Group 1 winning sprinter Twilight Son, who has produced top draw Group and Listed winning and placed sprinters such as Aria Importante, Twilight Calls, Twilight Jet, Twilight Spinner and Wicklow to name but a few.His dam, Maybride, is a Cheveley Park mare and a daughter of Mayson, who has also produced top class sprinting talent. Maybride reached an official rating of 92 at her best and won 25% of her starts over 6f on the turf.
She is a full sister to Group 3 placed sprinter Rosebride, who won 2 of her 7 starts and finished 2nd on three other occasions.Based on his pedigree Jersey Rocs ought to handle anything from good to heavy ground, which would make him incredibly versatile and give his owners the chance to see plenty of him.
It was a particularly good sign that his trainer, Charlie Hills, has said “I want to keep a third in the horse because what I’ve seen of him since September I really like and I think he’s got a really nice future.“Mr Hills also informed us that he thinks “this horse should improve with age, I think he’ll be a tremendously exciting horse to be involved with. He’s very sound, looks like he’s got a good mind and he’s got a good constitution as well so I think he’ll take his racing really well”.
Jersey Rocs finished 2nd on debut at Ripon, beaten only 2½ lengths by Seven Questions, who has since won a Group 3 at Newmarket. On his second start he sustained a minor injury but made a full recovery over the winter.
His first two runs of last season didn’t get close to revealing his potential and Charlie subsequently made the decision to have him gelded. He was then stepped up to a longer trip, as the team felt this would play to his strengths based on everything they had seen.
He really turned a corner in the latter part of last year with headgear on and has now managed to tally up two wins on the bounce.

Now that Jersey Rocs has found his form, he is expected to continue on an upward trajectory. It’s therefore a great time to get involved!
