About He's A Knowall
He’s A Knowall is a strapping eight-year-old gelding by Oscar and out of Miss Knowall.,,,
He’s A Knowall won effortlessly in his first and only race: a point-to-point bumper at Barbury Castle on good to soft ground in mid-December. He sprinted clear of the field, winning by 15 lengths with a time ten seconds faster than division 1 of that race.
Unsurprisingly, ex-trainer, Philip Rowley described him as having ‘a real engine’ on him.
He’s a Knowall stands at approximately 16.3hh/ He’s got plenty of bone and is a good stamp of a National Hunt horse.
Trainer Paul Webber is impressed by the breeding, commenting that “Oscar’s offspring include Paisley Park, Lord Windemere and Lisnager Oscar. Oscar’s progeny tend to be tough and stay well, with jumps progeny amassing £25,653,524 in prize money. The Dam, Miss Knowall is out of the resilient Juddmonte Farms family, so there’s plenty of speed in the family.”
The Racing Analyst, Ben Merritt commented: ’15 lengths is an unusually large winning margin in a two-mile flat race. Bred for stamina, one would have to be taken with the speed shown. The dam’s side of the pedigree is loaded with winners’.
Things did not quite go to plan for He’s A Knowall last season. He made a novicey mistake at the first in his maiden hurdle at Sandown and as a result failed to finish out the race. He subsequently suffered a tendon injury, which has unfortunately set him back a year.
Given that he’s a big, well-built chaser in the making, this time will have been beneficial to him; allowing him to properly fill out and grow into himself.
The plan now will be to bring He’s A Knowall back from his holiday at the end of the summer to begin preparations for a hurdling campaign this season. All being well, we will then look to send him over fences the following season.
There are 1750 shares available at £45 each. The syndicate term ends 31.10.2023.

The Benefits of JoiningOld Gold Racing
A share of prize money
100% of prize money won by a horse is shared between owners. If there are 1250 shares and the horse wins,,, £10,000 then each share earns £8. Prize money is distributed to owners at the end of the syndicate term.
Nothing extra to pay
The £25 cost of a share includes everything. You will not be asked for any further payment. At the end,,,
the term owners are given the option to renew. Renewals cost an estimated £40 and the amount is smaller than the original payment because the latter included a proportion of the purchase price of the horse, an expense only payable once.
Weekly updates
All owners receive an email every Saturday afternoon. This includes a report, usually filmed, from the,,,
trainer and stable staff. and all relevant news and anecdotes. The content, which includes free tips and articles, is exclusive to owners.
We also send one-off emails whenever there is something to say – a declaration, for example, or an injury update.
On the morning of a race we dispatch expert analysis of the contest, a realistic assessment of our horse’s chance, plus comments on betting trends and a breakdown of other races on the card.
Access to our community
Old Gold Racing has a growing community of owners, currently housed in our Facebook Groups,,,
Here, owners discuss and share content about their horses. There’s a great atmosphere and a real sense of team spirit.
Stable visits & Raceday Experiences
Old Gold Racing aims to arrange one stable visit per syndicate term. The names of Interested owners,,, are placed in a hat and the winners drawn at random. Approximately 200 tickets per visit are available. Each time one of our horses runs six (or sometimes more) of our customers can enjoy the full or ‘sole’ owner’s experience, with free entrance, exclusive access to spacious bars and restaurant facilities, the paddock and, if the horse is placed, the winner’s enclosure.
The lucky few will be selected by ballot. The more shares you own the better your chance.
Deals and Old Gold Racing events
From time to time Old Gold Racing will agree discounts on various racing-related goods and services,,, and these will be advertised to you by email.
We will also be organising events as soon as it is possible to do so. Owners are invited to purchase tickets so they can meet other members of the syndicate, as well as the Old Gold Racing team.
