Introducing: Chaos Control

Introducing Chaos Control, a handsome four-year old gelding, in training with Stuart Edmunds,,,.

Chaos Control has smart breeding; he is sired by Mastercraftsman and out of the High Chaparral mare, Va Pensiero.

Mastercraftsman’s progeny include the likes of 150 rated horses, Scaramanga and Master Blueyes. His dam won two of her five races and is by the same stallion as Altior, among many notable others.

Currently rated 74 on the Flat, Chaos Control has run a total of 20 times and has already proven he has heaps of ability. He has notched up three wins and over £30k in prize money to date.

He has finished in the top four in all but seven of his races to date, which shows that he is a very consistent horse. Each of his big runs have been on differing trips and on varying ground, which is a testament to his versatility.

Chaos Control is a ‘bright-eyed and bushy tailed’ sort. He loves his job and takes his races well, so is clearly a horse that is going to be able to run plenty.

Indeed, he has all the makings of an exciting dual purpose prospect, which will provide his owners with lots of fun days throughout the year, whether it’s a classic afternoon at a National Hunt meeting or an evening of Flat racing on the all-weather.

Stuart is really pleased with his new recruit: “He’s just a thoroughly likable little horse”, adding that he expects a jumps rating of 120 to be well within reach. “You could end up in the Boodles, you know, at the Festival if all went well, and I can think of no reason why it wouldn’t.”

Stuart hit the ground running with Chaos Control, getting a win with him at Wolverhampton in November. Chaos Control is almost ready to run again too… Stuart is looking at suitable upcoming races, both on the flat and over jumps, so it won’t be long before this exciting chap is gracing a racecourse again.

Shares in Chaos Control are £100 each. The syndicate term ends 31.01.2024.

The Oakman Racing Club is brought to you in partnership with Oakman Inns and the people behind Stuart Edmunds Racing Club, who helped identify Chaos Control as an exciting prospect.

Their record speaks for itself: in the past year, their 3 horses have placed in 15 of their 24 races!

This includes runners at Cheltenham, Newmarket, Ascot and Aintree.

Chaos Control’s 28th November win at Wolverhampton means that the Oakman Racing Club is well positioned to build on that fantastic 62% place rate.

Oakman Inns first opened its doors in 2007. Fifteen years later, there are now forty one pubs, restaurants and hotels in the group.

There will therefore be no shortage of venues for Chaos Control owners to celebrate in after a successful day’s racing!

A share of prize money

100% of prize money won by a horse is shared between owners. If there are 1250 shares and the horse wins,,, £10,000 then each share earns £8. Prize money is distributed to owners at the end of the syndicate term.

Nothing extra to pay

The £100 cost of a share includes everything. You will not be asked for any further payment. At the end,,,
of the term owners are given the option to renew. Renewals will cost around £60.  The amount is smaller than the original payment because the latter included a proportion of the purchase price of the horse, in addition to first term benefits: expenses only payable once.

Weekly updates

All owners receive an email every Saturday morning (at 11.30am). This includes a report, usually filmed, from the,,,
trainer and stable staff. and all relevant news and anecdotes. The content, which includes free tips and articles, is exclusive to owners.

On the morning of a race we dispatch expert analysis of the contest and a realistic assessment of the horse’s chances.
